Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-06-07
This is a working template for the Klendr Terms of Service. Klendr is operated from Estonia (EU). Please review with legal counsel before treating it as final.
1. Acceptance
By creating a Klendr account or using the service at klendr.me, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. The service
Klendr is an online appointment-booking and salon-management platform for beauty professionals. Features include a calendar, public booking page, client database, automated email and SMS reminders, and analytics.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for any activity that happens through your account. Notify us immediately at support@klendr.me if you suspect unauthorised access.
3a. Communications and marketing
By creating a Klendr account, you agree to receive emails from us, including transactional notifications (booking confirmations, password resets, billing receipts) and product updates (new features, announcements, and other important news about the service). You may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using the link at the bottom of each marketing email; transactional emails are tied to the operation of your account and continue while the account is active.
4. Free trial
New accounts include a 14-day free trial. No payment method is required at sign-up — you have immediate access to the calendar, public booking page, client database, and email reminders. SMS reminders are not active during the trial; they activate once you subscribe to a paid plan (either after the trial ends, or earlier if you choose to upgrade ahead of time). You can cancel anytime from your dashboard.
5. Subscription and billing
- Plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel.
- You can cancel anytime from your account; the service continues until the end of the current billing period.
- Prices are shown in EUR unless stated otherwise.
- SMS messages beyond the included monthly bundle are billed at the rate shown in your account.
5a. SMS overage billing
If you opt into SMS reminders beyond your included monthly bundle, usage above the included limit is billed at the per-SMS rate displayed in your account settings. Overage charges for the current billing period become due immediately upon subscription cancellation and will be charged to your payment method on file. By enabling SMS overage, you authorise Klendr to charge these amounts.
How an SMS is counted. Mobile carriers measure SMS by character segment, and the per-segment length depends on the characters in the message body:
- Latin alphabet only (GSM-7 encoding) — up to 160 characters count as one SMS. Longer messages split into segments of 153 characters each, and each segment is billed as a separate SMS.
- Any non-Latin character, accented character or emoji (Cyrillic, Greek, Chinese, Arabic, ø/å/ä/ö/ü with diacritics outside the GSM-7 extension table, 🌸, etc.) flips the entire message to Unicode (UCS-2) encoding — only 70 characters count as one SMS. Longer messages split into segments of 67 characters each, each billed separately.
A single non-Latin character anywhere in the body — for example one emoji in an otherwise Latin message, or a client name written in Cyrillic — switches the whole message to the 70-character budget. The SMS editor in your dashboard shows the live character count and segment estimate as you type, so you can keep messages to a single segment if you want to minimise cost.
When SMS reminders are sent. SMS reminders are only dispatched when the client books their appointment at least 3 days before the appointment date. For short-notice bookings (booked the same day, the next day, or 2 days before) the client already knows they just booked and an SMS nudge would be redundant — Klendr skips the SMS to save you the segment cost. Email reminders are unaffected and fire for every appointment regardless of booking lead time.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Klendr to send spam, transmit unlawful content, impersonate others, or circumvent the service's technical limits.
7. Your data
You own the data you put into Klendr (clients, appointments, messages). We process it on your behalf as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance is announced when possible.
9. Liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, Klendr is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost data.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms. You may close your account at any time; we will delete your data subject to the retention periods described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email to the account address. Continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia. Disputes will be resolved in Estonian courts unless mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.
