Booking page for driving instructors
A driving instructor booking system in Klendr does more than fill your week with lessons. The same calendar keeps your books in order: VAT invoices for parents and employers, a small stock of theory books, every student’s lesson history and reports on hours driven and income. Students book 60 or 90-minute lessons themselves.
Start free — 14 days →Not just lesson booking: a driving instructor’s accounting, students and hours in one calendar
An instructor spends the day in the passenger seat, so the admin usually waits for the evening. In Klendr it happens on its own: when a driving lesson ends, the invoice, the student’s record and the hours in your reports are already updated.
- Bookkeeping and invoices — a PDF invoice with VAT to the parent who pays or to a company that funds an employee’s driving lessons, sent automatically after each drive, with a due date and late interest. Once a month your accountant gets one CSV and a PDF archive of all lesson invoices, plus the Stripe deposits. More in payments and invoices.
- Inventory — an instructor sells little, but it adds up: theory test books, magnetic learner plates, a printed map of the test route area. Keep them in stock, add them to the lesson invoice and get an email before the last theory book is gone.
- Student history — every lesson with its length and price, missed lessons and your notes ("roundabouts fine, parallel parking weak") sit on the student’s card, so you always know how many hours a learner has driven. The list exports to a file whenever you need it.
- Analytics — hours behind the wheel per week and month, income, the days that fill up first, your most booked lesson types and the students who drive most, in analytics.
Why driving instructor booking belongs online
An instructor spends the whole day in a car with a student, so the phone cannot be answered between lessons. The messages pile up anyway: "Can I come on Thursday after school?", "Do you have anything before my test?", "My dad wants to know the price." By the evening you are juggling a notebook, WhatsApp and memory, and one wrong line means two students waiting at the same corner.
With your own booking page at klendr.me/your-name, students answer those questions themselves. They see the lesson types, the price and the free times for the coming weeks, pick one and confirm with a name and phone number. No app to install, no account to create — which matters when half of your students are seventeen.
The lesson appears in your calendar straight away, and a slot that is taken disappears from the page for everyone else. Two students can no longer book the same Friday afternoon.
Lesson lengths, meeting points and the test drive
Most instructors work with two or three formats: a standard 60-minute lesson, a longer 90-minute one for city traffic or the motorway, and a special session before the driving test. Create each as a separate service with its own duration and price. The calendar uses the duration, so a 90-minute booking blocks exactly ninety minutes and the next student starts on time.
Where do you pick students up? Write it into the service description: "Start at the Ülemiste parking lot, P2 level" or "Pick-up from the school gate on Kalda street". If you start from several places, make one service per meeting point — the student chooses the place and the lesson in one tap, and you never drive to the wrong side of town.
The test session deserves its own line. Many students want a warm-up drive and the instructor’s car for the exam itself; give it a longer duration and a clear price, and colour it differently in the calendar so exam days stand out at a glance.
Teenage students, parents and progress notes
Often the person who books is not the person who drives. A parent can book on their own phone, and the confirmation and reminder go to the contact entered at booking. You see in the client card who pays and who sits behind the wheel.
The card is also your logbook. After each lesson write two lines: "parallel parking still weak, roundabouts fine, next time — highway". Before the next lesson you open the card and continue exactly where you stopped, even with thirty students on the go. The visit history shows how many lessons the student has already taken, which helps when a parent asks whether their child is ready for the test.
Reminders by email and SMS go out the day before, in the student’s language. If plans change, the student moves or cancels the lesson from the link in the confirmation email, and the free slot goes back on your page for someone else.
Tools that fit a day spent in the car
What helps an instructor most, from the first lesson to the exam:
- Copy free times — tap once and send your open slots as text to a student in WhatsApp, handy for those who prefer to ask instead of booking.
- Flexible schedule — evening lessons on weekdays, Saturdays only every other week with A/B weeks, or a schedule set date by date when you also teach theory at a school. All of it in the calendar.
- Protection from no-shows — through Stripe you can take a deposit as one percentage for the whole account, or save the card and charge only if the student does not turn up. Details in online payments.
- Driving schools with several instructors — the Team plan gives every instructor their own column, the school one shared page, and different start addresses.
- Phone first — Klendr runs in the browser and as an Android app, and syncs with Google or Apple Calendar.
Lesson series and what Klendr does not do
Klendr books individual lessons. It has no prepaid lesson packages, no passes and no group theory classes with a seat limit. If you sell a set of ten lessons, agree on it directly with the student and note in the client card how many lessons are paid — each lesson is still booked as its own appointment.
Regular students simply keep your link and book the next lesson right after the current one. When you open new slots for the summer or before the exam season, an email campaign from Klendr tells all your students at once, and anyone can unsubscribe.

This is how lessons look on your booking page. The duration decides how many students fit into one day, so set it to include the drive to the meeting point if you need that time.

Questions from driving instructors
What is the best booking system for a driving instructor?
One that students can use without installing anything and that shows only your real free time. Klendr gives you a booking page, a calendar with lesson durations, reminders and a student base in one place, and works from the phone you already carry in the car.
Can a parent book lessons for their teenager?
Yes. The parent books with their own phone number and email, and reminders go to that contact. In the client card you note the student’s name and progress, so everyone knows who is driving.
How do students know where the lesson starts?
Put the meeting point in the service description. If you start from several places, create a separate service for each one, so the student picks the place together with the lesson.
Can I sell a package of 10 driving lessons in Klendr?
No, Klendr has no lesson packages or prepaid passes. Each lesson is booked separately; many instructors agree packages directly and note the paid lessons in the client card.
How do I reduce last-minute cancellations?
Students get a reminder by email and SMS the day before. You can also take a deposit or a no-show fee through Stripe — one percentage for the whole account — and a deposit is refunded if the lesson is cancelled.
Does it work for a driving school with several instructors?
Yes, in the Team plan. Each instructor has a column in the shared calendar, students choose an instructor on the school page, and several start addresses are supported.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, 14 days free with no card. After that Individual costs €10 a month, or Individual Plus €15 with 50 SMS included.
