Booking page for hair colorists

A booking page for hair colorists that also runs the business side of colour. Klendr joins a calendar built for four-hour blonde sessions, online booking with strand tests, VAT invoices for your accountant, lightener and toner stock, every client’s formula history and analytics — one system instead of three apps and a notebook.

More than a booking page for hair colorists: the colour business in one calendar

A colour studio runs on more than appointments. Each balayage uses up lightener, developer and toner, ends with an invoice and leaves a formula you will need again in eight weeks. Klendr keeps all of that next to the calendar, so the paperwork after a long blonde day takes minutes.

  • Accounting and bookkeeping — after a five-hour session the client automatically receives a PDF invoice with VAT, with a payment due date if they pay by transfer; each month you export invoices (CSV and PDF archive) and Stripe deposits for your accountant, who still keeps the books. Invoices and deposits
  • Inventory management — give each service a material recipe, for example 60 g lightener, 90 ml of 6% developer, 30 g toner and one dose of bond builder for a full balayage; every appointment writes it off, colour-care shampoo is sold on the invoice, and an email warns you before a toner shade runs out.
  • Client history (CRM) — every visit, formula, amount paid, no-show and strand-test result sits in one client card, and the base can be exported at any time.
  • Analytics and reports — revenue set against material cost shows what a balayage really earns compared with a root touch-up, plus hours worked and top services. See analytics
  • Online booking and reminders — consultations, strand tests and long sessions come in through your link, with SMS reminders and a deposit in the same system.

Why a booking page for hair colorists is different

A colorist sells time in big blocks. One airtouch or a full blonde transformation fills a morning, sometimes the whole day, and two or three such clients make up most of the weekly income. Taking those bookings through Instagram DMs means long threads about photos, past box dye and "how long will it take", while the chair is busy and the lightener is processing.

With Klendr the client opens your link — klendr.me/yourname — reads what each service includes, sees only the dates where the full session really fits and books in four steps without an app or an account. Put the link in your Instagram bio next to your before-and-after highlights, in WhatsApp and on your Google profile. A colour studio website can show the same form through the WordPress plugin or an embed for Wix, Shopify and Tilda.

Consultation and strand test before the big appointment

Most colorists will not start a lightening session on a stranger’s hair without seeing it first. Make Consultation + strand test a short, cheap service of its own and write in its description that new blonde and correction clients start there. The client books it like any other service, you check the hair history, test a strand and agree on the result and the price.

At the end of the consultation you book the main session right away, in the calendar, while the client is still in front of you. If the test needs 48 hours to judge, the client books the long appointment later from the same link and sees only real free days. The test result, the products used and the agreed target shade go into the client card, so nothing depends on memory three weeks later.

Four-hour blonde sessions without gaps in the schedule

Each service in Klendr has its own duration. Airtouch at five hours, balayage at four, toning at one: the system offers a time only where the whole session fits before the end of your day, so nobody books a full blonde at 16:00. Clients can add a toning, a bond treatment and a trim to one appointment, and the calendar blocks the total.

Many colorists start long sessions early and keep afternoons for gloss and toner refreshes. You can set that up with working hours, breaks and special hours on single dates, or alternate A/B weeks if you split time between two studios. Drag an appointment to another slot when a client asks, and give colour services their own colour so the heavy days are visible at a glance in the colour studio calendar.

Deposits for long colour work and formulas in the client card

An empty five-hour slot cannot be filled with a walk-in. Klendr can take a deposit through Stripe at booking — a percentage of the appointment total, the same percentage for the whole account. Because it is a percentage, a €220 airtouch is secured with a bigger amount than a €55 toning. Turn on only for new clients if regulars should book without paying, and set a free-cancellation window. The other mode saves the card and charges only when the client does not show up. More in deposits and payments.

The client card holds the technical side: lightener and developer per zone, toner mix, processing time, bond treatment, the strand test result and a note like "scalp sensitive, no 9%". The visit history shows when the last toning was, so you can suggest the next refresh at checkout. The day before the visit the client gets an email and SMS reminder in their own language and can move or cancel the appointment from the confirmation link — see reminders.

What Klendr gives a colorist

Tools that matter when every appointment is long and technical:

  • Booking page — service descriptions, photos of your blondes, honest durations; how online booking works
  • Consultation as a service — new clients book a strand test before the main session
  • Deposit or no-show fee — Stripe, a percentage of the appointment, refundable
  • Copy free time — send your open four-hour windows as text to a client in WhatsApp
  • Client emails — tell your list about free blonde slots in a quiet month, with unsubscribe
  • Google and Apple Calendar sync, browser on phone and computer, Android app

This is how a colour menu looks on the booking page. The durations are what keeps your day realistic: Klendr will not squeeze a five-hour airtouch into a three-hour gap.

Questions colorists ask

How do I make new clients book a consultation before a blonde?

Create a consultation service and say in the descriptions of airtouch, balayage and correction that first-time clients book the consultation first. After the strand test you book the main session yourself or the client does it from your link.

Can I take a deposit for a 5-hour colour appointment?

Yes. The deposit is a percentage of the appointment total, set once for the account, so long and expensive sessions are automatically covered by a larger amount. You can apply it only to new clients and refund it from the appointment card.

Where should I keep hair colour formulas?

In the client card in Klendr. Write lightener, developer, toner, timing and the strand test result there; the client does not see these notes, and the visit history shows what was done each time.

Can I show a colour correction price as "from"?

The price field is yours to fill, so you can describe correction as "from €250" in the service name or description and agree the final price at the consultation.

Is there a colorist booking app for clients to install?

Clients do not need any app: they book in the browser from your link. You manage everything in the browser on phone or computer, or in the Klendr Android app.

How much does colorist booking software cost?

Klendr is free for 14 days without a card, then €10 a month (€96 a year). Individual Plus at €15 a month adds 50 SMS. A colour studio with several stylists uses the Team plan.
